AI for All: Making Music with Machine Learning FULL

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Machine-learning research involves a lot of math and a lot of code, but using it doesn’t have to. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll work with Latent Loops, a tool built with technology from the Magenta project of Google Brain. We’ll introduce the concept of a musical palette, demonstrate techniques for creating and composing with them, and show how they can help musicians of any level generate new melodic material.

This workshop is designed to show how tools built using ML can empower creativity in new ways. Musicians and students looking to get started making music are welcome to attend. Bring a laptop and headphones if you have them. If you use a DAW, make sure it’s installed.

** If you successfully register for this workshop, it will be confirmed in your personalized schedule. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Those not in attendance 5 minutes before the session begins will forfeit their spot to those in line.

** If you were unable to successfully register for this workshop but were added to the waitlist and want to attend, it may still be possible if a space becomes available on the day of the session. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and wait in the standby line. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.

** By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge that Moogfest may share your email address with the instructor for the purpose of planning and coordinating this event.
