Synth Library: Intro to Patching with Marta SmiLga

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Take your first steps into the world of modular patching, starting with a brief lesson on the history of modular synthesizers and their context in today’s music production, live music and art scenes. Afterwards, get acquainted with some common vocabulary and signal types within the modular environment and the ways they’re usually routed.

We will cover a basic set of modules that can be found across all modular/synthesizer platforms — eurorack and beyond — and that are essential to creating all sorts of musical (or not!) situations.

** This workshop is free and open to the public as part of Moogfest’s The Joyful Noise of STEAM program, and is appropriate for children ages 14 and up. A festival ticket is not required to attend.
** This workshop is limited in capacity and offered on a first come first served basis. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session.
** Entrance is not guaranteed.
