Synth Library: Intro to Patching with Emily Sprague FULL

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Take your first steps into the world of modular patching, starting with a brief lesson on the history of modular synthesizers and their context in today’s music production, live music and art scenes. Afterwards, get acquainted with some common vocabulary and signal types within the modular environment and the ways they’re usually routed. We will talk about some analogies and Emily Sprague will discuss her relationship with modular synths with a demo on her personal synthesizer.

We will cover a basic set of modules that can be found across all modular/synthesizer platforms — eurorack and beyond — and that are essential to creating all sorts of musical (or not!) situations.

** If you successfully register for this workshop, it will be confirmed in your personalized schedule. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Those not in attendance 5 minutes before the session begins will forfeit their spot to those in line.

** If you were unable to successfully register for this workshop but were added to the waitlist and want to attend, it may still be possible if a space becomes available on the day of the session. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and wait in the standby line. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.

** By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge that Moogfest may share your email address with the instructor for the purpose of planning and coordinating this event.
