Moogfest 2018

Director-producer team Charlie and Lucy Paul share their experience on working with artists at their vulnerable moments of creation, discussing expectations and realistic objectives when working with artists.

What do you need to capture art on film? How is an artist’s studio transformed into a film studio without intrusion? How does a director find a story unfolding within the subject? This talk and video presentation will look at the technical challenges when making art documentaries. We will explore the latest camera kit, sound recording equipment, lenses, and lights, as well as how to log and manage footage for a successful edit.
