Moogfest 2018

Director-producer team Charlie and Lucy share and discuss different approaches to music application and commission for film and creating the final soundscape mix. Looking at two art films with very different approaches to their soundtrack — “For No Good Reason,” where music was commissioned to edited picture, and forthcoming feature “Prophecy,” where the picture edit was made to existing music. This workshop will explore how music works with picture, when you get music involved in your film, where and how do you find music, what to expect in the final audio mix, and mixing music with sound and vocal tracks.
