Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Using Max 7, learn how to use GPU acceleration to create live posterization effects for video and stills. Using each student’s prepared library of images and videos, or an example library provided, participants will explore methods of repetition and mixing to create live takes in notable styles. As a final step, a webcam will be used to add a live feed into their database of imagery.

Students should bring a mid- to high-end laptop with a webcam. Prior to the class, it is encouraged that students download the trial version of Max/MSP from www.cycling74.com. It is recommended that each student bring a library of images (.png or .jpg) and videos (.mov or .mp4, 720p recommended) to the class.

** If you successfully register for this workshop, it will be confirmed in your personalized schedule. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Those not in attendance 5 minutes before the session begins will forfeit their spot to those in line.

** If you were unable to successfully register for this workshop but were added to the waitlist and want to attend, it may still be possible if a space becomes available on the day of the session. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and wait in the standby line. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.
